Elder Abuse

Elder abuse has devastating consequences. It jeopardizes the health and well-being of seniors and has significant implications for the health, social support and justice systems. The first step in addressing elder abuse is prevention. Educating Albertans about how to recognize elder abuse and what to do about it are important first steps to stopping its occurrence. The Government of Alberta, in collaboration with community partners and all Albertans, need to work together to accomplish this.
